What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of touch therapy in which the practitioner gently rests his or her hands on a client's body at various locations with the intent of improving the client's flow of energy.
Reiki is a Japanese word which means "universal energy" or "life force energy", referring to the energy that flows within every creature. Reiki practitioners are trained to channel this energy, also known as Chi or Prana, through their hands so that others may receive benefit from it.
Scientific research confirms the value of Reiki as a form of complementary therapy to assist in the management of stress associated with illnesses such as cancer, chronic conditions such as depression or chronic pain, and much more.
Reiki restores a person's energy balance, releasing blockages within the body, imparting a greater sense of relaxation, well-being, and vitality. After a session, clients often report feeling peace and joy.
Reiki can address healing on any level... physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. It may also be enjoyed simply as a way of relaxing and pampering yourself!
